On November 17th, ABIRC chair Blong joins Fresno Center for New Americans (FCNA) for their annual Thanksgiving event where they invited the community for an evening of celebration and recognition.
On November 16th, Fresno City Council Member Paul Caprioglio’s office held a Turkey drive and partnered with ABIRC. ABIRC Chair Blong and Bobby Bliatou delivered 20 turkeys to four Southeast Asian non-profit organizations. We are thankful for the contributions made by Council Caprioglio’s Office.

November 8th. 2017, ABIRC Chair Blong joined The Southeast Fresno Community Economic Development Association for their 6th Annual Trail Blazer Award Luncheon. Individuals recognized for this award are members of our community that has contributed to the greater Fresno area. Maiyer Vang is one of recipients for the 2017 Trailblazer for Prosperity Award.

On October 30th, 2017, ABIRC Chair Blong attended the State of Education held by Fresno Unified School District (FUSD) with Dr. Thae Xiong. Currently, Blong and Dr. Xiong are working with FUSD to develop the Hmong Language project.
